Ingredients

6½ - 7 cups of flour
2½ cups of warm water
1/2 cup of warm milk
½ tbsp instant yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt

Instructions

Mix warm water with the yeast and sugar in a mixing bowl and let it rest for 4-5 minutes.

Then add warm milk, flour, and salt. Start kneading with an electric dough mixer on low speed for the first 6 minutes then increase the speed to mid-level for 4 minutes.

After the dough is done, shape the dough as a big ball then cover it with a cloth and let it rest for 1,5 hours.

Hand-knead the dough for another while and take 3 equal pieces of it.

Sprinkle a little flour on the counter and give shape to the dough pieces you have separated.

Place them on a baking sheet and cover your final dough with a cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.

Make a thin cut in the center of the dough with a sharp knife. Sprinkle a little flour before it goes into the oven.

Preheat the oven to 200 C / 400 F degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes until the bread looks crispy.

Enjoy your Turkish Bread!
